Free Agency Client Erik Kinney Signs in Spain

Erik Kinney has signed with Plasencia Ambroz in Spain. The 6-5 wing player had a great year at Campbellsville University last season. He averaged a double double last year at NAIA Campbellsville (11ppg, 10rpg) under Coach Brent Vernon, who was also very helpful in the process. Kinney attended the SBS Louisville Pro Invitational in April and played very well. He was then offered an agency contract by Free Agency Basketball (FIBA Agent David Gonzalez based out of Spain), and he accepted. Kinney then attended the Free Agency/SBS Pro Workouts (KPA Vegas) in July and caught the eye of Plasencia Head Coach Carlos Diaz who was in attendance. Diaz liked Kinney after the first night and the remainder of his stay in Vegas. Kinney will play in an excellent league the LEB Silver with great competition and exposure. "This young man has great potential at the pro level and this is a great starting point for him. If he takes care of business, he can play at a very high level in Europe" said Director of Scouting for Free Agency Michael Stinnett. Erik is the 11th Free Agency player to sign a pro contract for the 2017-18 season.
