Free Agency Client and former Georgetown College standout Troy Steward has signed his first professional basketball contract with Waverley in the NBL 1 league in Australia. Steward just completed a National Championship season at NAIA Georgetown. He averaged 17.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists last year at Georgetown. He also scored 2,036 points in his college career. He was an NAIA All American and named All Mid-South Conference for three seasons. After his senior season he attended the SBS Pro Invitational Workout hosted by Free Agency Basketball/SBS Services and was named MVP of the event. "Troy Steward is a big time basketball player. He can play the 2 or 1 and has a pro body. However the thing I liked about him more than anything is the fact that he can flat shoot the basketball and with deep range. This will be a great start to his career. The fact he will team with his former teammate at Georgetown Deondre McWhorter only makes it more special. Troy will have a great season in Australia" said Michael Stinnett (Free Agency Director of Scouting). Steward makes the 31st contract that Free Agency Basketball has secured for this season.
