Brent Bach Signs in Portugal
Former Augusta High School star and Bellarmine University standout Brent Bach has signed a pro contract with Sampaense Basket in Portugal. Brent is the all time leading scorer at Augusta High School with 2,615 points. He also led Bellarmine (29-3) in scoring in 2017-18 at 17.0 per game while shooting 45.7% from behind the 3pt. line. He was named second team All Midwest Region by the NABC and All Great Lakes Valley Conference his senior season. Last April he attended the Louisville SBS/Free Agency Pro Exposure Workout and was offered an agency contract based on his career and his performance at the event by Free Agency Basketball (Spain)/FIBA Agent David Gonzalez. "David and I are really happy for Brent. Anytime Coach Scott Davenport speaks as highly as he does about Brent you know he is special. We were close on several jobs for Brent but Coach Cláudio Pereira Figueiredo at Sampaense really liked him this time and feels he is a perfect fit for the team"said Michael Stinnett (Free Agency Basketball Director of Scouting). Former Bellarmine standout and overseas star Chris Dowe (current pro in Israel) at one time played for Sampaense early in his career. Bach makes the 38th player that Free Agency/SBS has helped play at the pro level for the 2018-19 season.
