Previews of Both Games Below and Naming of All League Team
The 18th KPA Championship game (Read History of event here http://michproa.wix.com/kyproam#!history/c66t ) should be very interesting, and exciting. If everything works out and rosters are complete on this night it could be one of the best KPA finals ever. KPA #1 will be lead by Chris Dowe (Bellarmine/Portugal) and Peyton Siva (Louisville/Detroit Pistons). The two combined for 64 points in a 106 to 103 victory over KPA 3 on Thursday night. Dowe went to war on Thursday on both ends of the floor. Siva motivated everyone to raise their game to another level as he showed the winner he is. KPA #1 had not won a game until Siva showed for the playoffs on Thursday. Also rumored to be running with KPA #1 Tyler Brown (Illinois State/DLeague) and Russ Smith (Louisville/NBA Draft Candidate). KPA #1 has gotten excellent play from several current college players: Jermaine Jackson (Florida Tech), Sean Brown (Union College), and Tony Horne (Lindsey Wilson).
They will take on a talented Team Southern Indiana led by Darryl Baker (Lincoln Trail J.C. and future High Major D1 player), and Antonio Ballard (Miami Ohio/NBL All Star Canada). Baker is a big time scoring wing who can knock down the 3 or penetrate to the hole at will. Ballard averaged 35ppg. in first two games in the KPA but was in Ohio this past week. Ballard being at the game will be huge for Team SI to compete in this one. Also Team SI has gotten big time guard play from Chris Whitehead (Fordham transfer) and Tenale Roland (Utah State 14). Whitehead and Roland are a solid guard tandem. Team SI also has a solid low post game with 6-7 Kegan Clark (IU Southeast), Donnie Hale 6-8 (Purdue/Bellarmine *current) and Terrance Farley 6-10 (Louisville/several overseas stops).
