Free Agency Client Jeril Taylor Signs with Giessen in Germany
Jeril Taylor has signed to play with the Giessen 46ers in Germany. Taylor will play with the Pro B team and also practice with their BBL team. Jeril had a standout career for Coach Dale Mabrey at Louisville Pleasure Ridge Park High. He then played at Rend Lake Junior College (Coach Randy House) winning a National Championship, and finished with two great years for Coach Rodney Watson at the University of Southern Indiana. He was named first team Division 2 All American at USI, and player of the year in the GLVC Conference. Taylor averaged 19.6 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game, and set a USI single game scoring record by scoring 50 points. Free Agency Director of Scouting Michael Stinnett said "Jeril is a perfect example of a player with a great support system. All of his former coaches were very helpful in this process. PRP Assistant Coach Larry Kihnley and USI Head Coach Rodney Watson were a huge help throughout the process from the time he finished at USI until he signed. Jeril was named MVP of the SBS Pro Invitational in April here in Louisville. Taylor then made a commitment to Free Agency Basketball (www.freeagency.es /Agent David Gonzalez) and we put him in a position to have a great career in Europe. I am very excited about his upside as a pro."
