Free Agency Client Darius Gibson Signs in Portugal

Darius Gibson has signed to play in Portugal with Angrabasket. The 6-2 PG played high school basketball at Lexington Tates Creek (Kentucky) and college basketball at Samford University. Gibson was a standout his senior year at Samford University averaging 14.9ppg, 2.8rpg, 3.5apg, FGP: 50.2%, 3PT: 34.8%, FT: 70.9%, and was named all conference. He played for former UK and NBA standout Scott Padgett at Samford. Gibson also was a standout in the Lexington Dirt Bowl this summer. "I am very excited for Darius and Angrabasket. Darius is an excellent PG who can get to the rim whenever he wants, and can finish in a variety of ways. He also has a very good understanding and feel for the game. However, I like his ability to pressure the ball and make things happen with his defense"said Michael Stinnett. Gibson becomes the 19th Free Agency Player to sign to play pro basketball and another player from the state of Kentucky. Another Kentucky born player will sign in the next few days.
