Freeman Signs in Spain with CB Solares (First American in Team History)
Free Agency Client Richard Freeman (6-9 Forward/Pikeville 2017) has signed with CB Solares for next season in Spain. This signing marks the first American player to ever sign with the team. Freeman played his rookie pro season in Spain with CB Valls. He averaged 10.9 points and 5.1 rebounds in 18 games last season. This summer he played extremely well in the BSN SPORTS KPA Vegas Pro Summer League. "Richard Freeman is a talent. David Gonzalez and I feel the sky is the limit for RJ. He is a versatile 6-9 4/3/5 position player that can do a little bit of it all. I love his upside and think he will do a great job for CB Solares. They are getting a versatile player that can guard any position for the most part and offensively is a mismatch for most any team. He came to the SBS Louisville Pro Workout out of college and also attended our Cincinnati workout last October and has shown how hungry he is to be a solid pro. This summer he showed signs of being the player he can be and I think it will happen this year in Spain. He is a special player" said Michael Stinnett (Free Agency Basketball Director of Scouting). Freeman makes the 27th Free Agency player to sign for the 2018-19 season and several more announcements will be made this week.
