Christian Cunningham Signs in Iceland

Free Agency Basketball Rookie Christian Cunningham (6-7 Forward/Jacksonville State) has signed to play for FSU Selfoss in Iceland. Cunningham recently completed a great career at NCAA Division 1 Jacksonville State playing for veteran Coach Ray Harper. Cunningham as a senior averaged 7.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.6 shot blocks per game. He also shot 61.2% from the field (league leader in OVC Conference). His junior year he lead the OVC Conference in shot blocks and field goal percentage. He is the all time single season shot block leader in Jacksonville State history. He recently was named to the KPA Vegas All League team in Las Vegas. He averaged 16.5 points per game, 11 rebounds a game (KPA Leader), and 3 shot blocks per game (KPA Leader). "Christian Cunningham is an excellent basketball player and person. I respect FSU Selfoss and Coach Chris Caird for signing him and seeing the player he is. I have been placing players overseas for 25 years and this player has great potential. He has a big time motor and can defend almost any position. He also is one of the quickest jumpers I have seen and this is why he is such a big time shot blocker. He rebounds the ball on both ends of the floor at a high level. Offensively he runs the floor well and can score the ball very well with quick post and turn and face moves. He is going to be excellent for Selfoss. He also has been very well coached having played for Coach Ray Harper and long time assistant Tommy Wade. David and I can not wait to follow his progress in Iceland next season." said Michael Stinnett (Free Agency Director of Scouting). Cunningham makes the 13th Free Agency player to sign for the 2019-20 season with several announcements coming soon. *See Cunningham highlight below!
