Gilwan Nelson Signs in Armenia!

Free Agency Client Gilwan Nelson has signed his first pro contract with Erebuni Cedars Yerevan Basketball Club in Yerevan, Armenia. He will play in the top pro league in Armenia. Nelson attended Olney Central Junior College for two years and then played his last two seasons of college at NCAA Division 2 University of Illinois at Springfield. Nelson averaged 14.9 points and 4.4 rebounds a game his senior year at UIS and was named to the Great Lakes Valley Conference All Conference team. After his senior season Nelson attended the SBS Pro Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky. Shortly after the event he was offered an agency contract by Free Agency Basketball (FIBA Agent David Gonzalez). He also attended the KPA Vegas Pro Summer League this summer in July. "We loved Gilwan's college video and then after watching him in person at the SBS Pro Invitational we knew he could play at the next level. He comes out of a great NCAA Division 2 conference (Great Lakes Valley) and he had a solid overall college career at Olney and UIS. Erebuni Cedars was looking for an all around wing type player and they really liked the video they watched on Gilwan. David and I are really excited for him and feel he will have a great first year as a pro" said Michael Stinnett (Free Agency Director of Scouting). Nelson makes the 28th Free Agency Client to sign for the 2019-20 season with several more announcements soon. *See Gilwan Nelson highlight video below!
