US Big Men Spencer comes to Neustadt from college!

As in past years, in the coming season there will be a US Center for the temps shooters. 24 years old 208 cm tall US American (born in Dallas, Texas) Antonio Demond Spencer is expected to be in Neustadt after graduating college in August. After five years of college at three different locations, he will now celebrate his European debut. He played for Kennesaw State University (NCAA D1) from 2018-21 and appeared in a total of 63 games there. On average, he averaged 2.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per serve in just under 14 minutes of playing time. A year later, he transferred to Keiser University (NAIA) for which he played 25 games, putting up 3.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. Last season it went to Reinhardt University (NAIA), where he played a much bigger role and could further improve his statistics. In 27 assists, he averaged 9.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. The strong and yet very mobile center will be a defensive anchor in Neustadt and will try to continue where he left off at college, because there he was elected to the all-defensive team last year.

"We are very happy that after several good discussions with myself and our coach Lars, we were able to convince Antonio to make a commitment to the temps shooters." The 2.08 meter tall center is an athletic finisher on the board, with strength during rebound. Defensively, he can defend in our system with dynamics and aggressiveness in the pick & roll and gives us a lot of rim protection. He is the type of player in the big positions that we lacked last season”, so temps Shooters sports director Björn Becker.

Coach Lars Buss can only agree with him: "I wanted a big, strong centre, who is still athletic and fast, which Antonio has everything, and that's why I'm very happy that he made a commitment to us after the personal talks with him." He will also be a spectacular player for the audience, who likes to finish with dunking."

"My agent Michael Stinnett told me about the interest of the Neustädter and then I took a closer look at everything and also had some video calls with Björn and Lars, so I quickly realized that the team and the coach wanted me badly." I will give anything to celebrate many successes with the team and reach the goals I set. The always super attended home games motivate me even more and I am really happy to attract the Shooters fans with hopefully good performances. Let's work! “, so the temps Shooter’s new addition about his decision to move to Neustadt.

The following players are confirmed for the 23/24 season: Matthew Jelovcic, Dyon Doekhi, Chris Kwilu, Joshua "Edi" Burgunder, Jannik Lodders, Alan Paul Kikwaki, Timo Neunzling, Antonio Demond Spencer
